When to Use Personal Pronouns

We use subject personal pronouns to refer to people. These are the personal pronouns to use: I, You, He, She, It, We, They
  •  I talk a lot.
  • You swim good.
  • He likes the birds.
  • She struggles with work.
  • It taste good.
  • We love fruits.
  • They sleep a lot. 

The Personal Pronouns 

 I - Singular 1st Person ( masculine or feminine )

You - Singular 2nd Person ( masculine or feminine )

He - Singular 3rd Person( masculine )

She - Singular 3rd Person ( feminine )

It - Singular 3rd Person ( object / thing / animal )

We - Plural 1st Person ( masculine or feminine )

They - Plural 3rd Person ( masculine or feminine )

When it's the subject of the sentence, the pronoun always starts at the beginning of the sentence.

  •  They got home late. 
  • She likes to wear makeup.

"It" is used to express objects, things, or ideas.

  • It is going to be hot today.
  • The toy is weak. It breaks easily. 
  • It was a great idea.
